Welcome to "This Is My Story," a new blog series dedicated to highlighting the journeys of individuals within the Polyphony Music Resources family.

In these posts, we turn the spotlight on some of our dedicated church musicians. Through personal anecdotes and professional milestones, we’ll learn a little more about them and hopefully, get to know one another better.

This series aims to inspire and celebrate the invaluable contributions of our musical leaders. Join us as we delve into their stories and continue to strengthen our connections.

How have you participated in Polyphony?

I’ve been to three conferences and participated in two cohorts!

What do you think God is up to in your life right now?

I think God is opening me up to new people, new rhythms, and new focus as I begin a new season of ministry at a new church.

Tell us about your faith journey.

I grew up at FBC, Henderson, and that church was such a formational part of my faith–and vocational–journey. I began attending the Episcopal church in college as a music major and the liturgy and music spoke to me! I was confirmed there as an adult. I have served a variety of denominations and enjoyed an ecumenical career leading worship and liturgy through music at Episcopal, Baptist, Methodist, and Presbyterian churches!

Something interesting most people would not know about you.

As a high schooler, I was on a televised quiz bowl show with local WRAL meteorologist Greg Fishell (our school lost!).

What adjectives best describe you?

Hard-working
